Welcome to Koh Tao, the tropical paradise located in the Gulf of Thailand. With its crystal clear waters, breathtaking views, and relaxed vibe, this island is a must-visit for anyone travelling to Thailand.

In our previous two articles, we went through ten beaches and viewpoints on Koh Tao.

Are you ready for the ultimate joyful travel guide finale (part 3)? Let’s go!

1. Mango Viewpoint

First up is Mango Viewpoint, which is rated as one of the best viewpoints on the island. Here, you can spend a couple of hours relaxing in a hammock, reading a book, playing board games, or sipping on freshly squeezed juice.

Located high in the hills in the north of the island, it’s a short 15-minute drive from Sairee Beach. Although, we would recommend that you access Mangy Viewpoint by boat because the road is quite rough. There is a 100 Baht entrance fee, the view is definitely worth the money.

2. Tanote Bay

Next is Tanote Bay, a secluded beach surrounded by rolling hills and large boulders. It’s also home to the best rock jumping spot on the island. Tanote Bay is located on the eastern coastline of the island, just a short 15-minute drive from Sairee Beach.

There are no parking or entrance fees, and it’s just a short 2-minute walk to the beach from the jump-off point. You can spend half a day or all day here. There are a couple of restaurants and bars in this part of the bay.

3. Sai Daeng Beach

Moving on to Sai Daeng Beach, another picturesque location on Koh Tao’s south coast. Here, you can spend a day snorkelling the reefs, kayaking in the bay, and working on your tan! Sai Daeng Beach can be accessed through the Sai Daeng Resort, and there are no parking or entry fees when visiting.

It’s also the closest bay to Shark Island, which is one of the best snorkelling trips on the island.

4. Sunset Viewpoint

If you’re looking for the perfect spot to catch the sunset, head to Sunset Viewpoint. Located high in the hills at the northern end of the island, Sunset Viewpoint offers incredible west-facing views overlooking the popular Sairee Beach.

Although it’s a short 15-minute drive from Sairee Beach, the road is steep and you may need to walk up the hill if your scooter doesn’t make it. Look out for the ‘High Rock View Point – Sunset Point’ sign on the left-hand side of the road.
